New Jersey court imprisons man for fatal speeding crash

A New Jersey man has been sentenced to prison for causing a crash that killed a grandmother. Alexander F. Eiden will serve nearly three years and five months before being eligible for parole. Eiden, driving 103 mph in a 50 mph zone, crashed into Christine Perrella's vehicle. Perrella, 70, died from her injuries after the January 9, 2023, accident in Roseland. Eiden, who pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter, was 23 at the time of the crash. He will also be under parole supervision for three years after his release.
