New Jersey communities unite for ninth annual Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day

New Jersey recently held its ninth annual Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day, uniting organizations, law enforcement, and residents to raise awareness about the opioid crisis. The event, led by the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey, focused on educating communities about opioid misuse. In Bergen County, local agencies collaborated to distribute information on essential services, including a 24/7 Addiction Support Hotline. This year marked the fifth consecutive year of partnership between the Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources and local police. Similar outreach efforts occurred in Camden and Salem counties, where volunteers engaged residents and provided resources on opioid dangers.
