New FGTS withdrawal rule helps 14 million workers

It permits access to remaining FGTS balances for those who chose the birthday withdrawal option and were fired without cause. The government stated this corrects an injustice, as the previous rule prevented access to funds during vulnerable times. The benefit applies to contracts terminated between January 1, 2020, and December 23, 2025.
