New driving license checks will suspend licenses for failures in Kerala

Drivers who pass their tests face a new "super check" by senior officials. Failure in this check will result in their license being suspended. Those who fail the super check will need to retake the driving test within a specified period. Only by passing this re-test will their license be reinstated. Joint RTOs and RTOs will conduct these checks. This measure aims to verify driving skills after a license is obtained and follows a directive from Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar during a road safety event. Driving schools will also face action if their students fail the super check.
