New antibody-drug conjugate clears residual cancer in most B-cell ALL patients

A new antibody-drug conjugate, inotuzumab ozogamicin, eradicated measurable residual cancer cells in most B-cell ALL patients. The phase 2 study showed 70% of 37 patients achieved MRD negativity, with durable responses and encouraging survival rates. This treatment offers a promising strategy to deepen remissions and potentially improve long-term outcomes for high-risk leukemia patients.
