Nepal celebrates Ram Mandir anniversary by lighting 125,000 lamps
Janakpur, Nepal, celebrated the first anniversary of Lord Ram Lalla's idol installation at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir by lighting 125,000 lamps. The event included traditional festivities organized by the Dhanusha chapter of Bishwo Hindu Parisad Nepal. In Ayodhya, similar celebrations took place with a Mahabhishek ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The date, January 11, aligns with the Hindu calendar, marking a significant occasion for devotees. Last year's celebrations also featured 125,000 lamps, but this year included additional rituals like Agnihotra and chanting. The Ram Mandir complex construction is progressing, with completion expected in mid-2025.
