NDFP's Luis Jalandoni died in the Netherlands

Luis Jalandoni, a senior advisor to the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, died in the Netherlands at age 90, confirmed by the Communist Party of the Philippines. Jalandoni, a key figure in the communist movement, served as the NDFP's chief international representative and negotiator in peace talks. He was also a former Catholic priest who joined the underground resistance against the Marcos dictatorship in the 1970s. Jalandoni's death follows those of other prominent CPP-NDFP figures. He was designated a terrorist in 2022 but continued to advocate for peace and political reforms from exile.
