NCC Ltd. secures large order from BSNL
NCC Ltd shares are making headlines after the company announced it received two significant work orders from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). The orders, totaling approximately Rs 10,804.56 crore, focus on the construction and maintenance of a middle-mile network for BharatNet. In the latest trading session, NCC’s stock closed down 2.25% at Rs 204.45 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. This drop reduced the company's market capitalization to Rs 12,836 crore. The work orders cover projects in the Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh Telecom Circles. NCC is tasked with the design, supply, construction, installation, upgrading, operation, and maintenance of the network. Rekha Jhunjhunwala, wife of the late investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, owns 10.63% of NCC’s shares. This ownership highlights continued interest in the company. The new contract wins reflect NCC's strategy to strengthen its position in the construction industry. Despite the recent drop in stock price, the relative strength index shows the stock is stable, neither overbought nor oversold. NCC Ltd engages in various construction activities, focusing on infrastructure development.
