Nazareth basketball coach Joe Arndt retires after 21 years

Joe Arndt has announced his retirement as the boys basketball coach at Nazareth Area High School after 21 seasons. He finishes with a record of 237-258 and led the team to a Lehigh Valley Conference championship in 2010. During his tenure, Arndt guided the Blue Eagles to the District 11 tournament 11 times and coached two players who scored over 1,000 points. This season, the team finished with a 12-12 record and reached the District 11 quarterfinals. Arndt expressed gratitude for the relationships built during his coaching career and plans to support the program in new ways. He previously coached at Pen Argyl, where he won a district title in 2004.
