National Grid installs new cable to end Worcester neighborhood power outages

National Grid has resolved a persistent power issue in a Worcester neighborhood that began in November. The company installed a new underground cable and conduit on Almont Avenue to fix the problem, which had caused multiple outages and relied on a temporary diesel generator. Residents of the Grafton Hill neighborhood had expressed frustration over the prolonged disruption and lack of communication from National Grid.
