Nashik summit urges industries to focus on quality, innovation, and global markets

An Export Awareness Summit in Nashik urged local industries to prioritize quality, innovation, and global market understanding to boost export competitiveness. The event was held Tuesday at the Nashik Engineering Cluster in Ambad MIDC. District Collector Ayush Prasad said Nashik can become a world-class manufacturing hub if industries adopt demand-driven strategies and international quality standards. He stressed product diversification, local raw material use, and obtaining globally recognized certifications, while also highlighting the Nashik Dry Port's potential to reduce export costs. The summit, organized by the District Industries Centre and government departments, featured experts from DGFT, Exim Bank, and other agencies. Sessions covered export procedures, finance, and compliance, with presentations from India Post, KPMG, DHL, and Walmart. Prasad announced future buyer-seller meets to connect local entrepreneurs with international markets.
