hindustantimes.com —

Around five lakh international tourists and devotees are expected to attend next year's Kumbh Mela in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar, according to NTKMA commissioner Shekhar Singh. The announcement was made on Saturday. The flag hoisting for the mela begins October 31 this year, with the peak period from July to September next year featuring three royal baths. Authorities expect roughly 8 crore devotees in Nashik and 4 crore in Trimbakeshwar during this time. Help desks will be set up at airports in coordination with the external affairs ministry and embassies to assist overseas visitors. While no special lodging is planned for foreigners, they can use city hotels or private tent cities. A group of 24 Italians and a US photographer have already confirmed visits.
