The 500-foot-wide 2024 MK came within 184,000 miles. NASA's Goldstone Solar System Radar in California captured the images. NASA is actively preparing to deflect potential asteroid threats, with risks ranging from daily dust particles to catastrophic impacts every 100 million years.
