Nancy massage salon loses €14,000 to roadwork noise

A massage salon owner in Nancy says roadwork noise has made it impossible to work in peace, costing her over 10,000 euros in lost revenue since February. Tess Marmoy, manager of Maison Morphose on Boulevard d’Austrasie, says clients come to relax but are disturbed by construction sounds. Marmoy adapted her hours for six weeks, losing two appointments daily, and has made 5,200 euros in commercial gestures. She lost a prepaid 800-euro treatment and did not charge for three sessions, totaling 14,000 euros in lost income from May to August. An agreement that noisy work would stop after 1 p.m. is no longer respected. The Grand Nancy Metropolis says her request does not fall under its compensation commission, as she has been established less than a year, making it too short to assess real losses. She was reportedly suggested to take a vacation. Work is scheduled to end in late 2026.
