Nancy Garapick, Olympic swim medallist from Halifax, dies at 64

Former Olympic swim medallist Nancy Garapick has died at age 64. Garapick, a Halifax native, won two bronze medals at the 1976 Montreal Olympics in the 100 and 200-metre backstroke events. She also set a world record in the 200-metre backstroke at age 13. She was inducted into multiple sports halls of fame, including the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame and the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame.
