Nagpur police check buses for narcotics

Nagpur police are conducting anti-narcotics checks at the Ganeshpeth bus stand as part of Operation Thunder phase 2, aiming to curb drug smuggling. The police, aided by a sniffer dog squad, are inspecting buses, travel agencies, and parcel facilities at the bus stand, a major transportation hub. These checks target routes to cities like Pune, Dhule, and Indore. This operation, supervised by Zonal DCP Mahak Swami, reflects increased efforts to combat substance abuse and illegal transportation within the region.
