MXR unveils Slash signature talk box pedal, his first since age 16

MXR has released a signature talk box pedal for Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, priced at $499.99 and available exclusively on Reverb. The pedal is based on the classic Heil circuit and features an upgraded loudspeaker and Candy Apple Red finish. Slash, who has owned a talk box since age 16, was inspired by Peter Frampton, Jeff Beck, and Aerosmith. The MXR model offers improved articulation and thicker low-end compared to other versions, with the guitarist comparing its expressiveness to his iconic Cry Baby Wah pedal. The talk box rose to prominence in the 1970s through Frampton's hits like "Do You Feel Like We Do." Slash's collaboration may appear on a future Guns N' Roses album, though no release is imminent.
