Musk's super PAC spends $800K on GOP midterm races, backing Paxton in Texas

Elon Musk's America PAC has disclosed its first spending on Republican candidates, totaling roughly $800,000 for congressional races across several states, with the largest share aiding Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton. The expenditures, made in August and reported to the Federal Election Commission, cover printing costs for direct voter outreach. Over $247,000 went to Paxton, who is being vastly outspent by Democratic nominee James Talarico, with additional investments in Senate races in Iowa, New Hampshire, Michigan, and Ohio, plus House contests in several states. Musk, the world's richest person, has already contributed over $50 million to America PAC and $10 million each to major Republican super PACs, marking his reengagement in GOP politics after a public rift with President Donald Trump. The PAC aims to help Republicans retain their majorities in November's midterms.
