Musk's PAC spends $800,000 on Republican races in Texas, Maine, Ohio, and Alaska

Elon Musk's America PAC has spent over $800,000 on more than a dozen Republican congressional races ahead of the November midterm elections, marking its first spending for the 2026 cycle in a filing late Wednesday. The super PAC, backed by a $50 million war chest, focused its largest outlays on Texas, including $247,595 for Senate candidate Ken Paxton, and $170,224 for Maine Senator Susan Collins. Other beneficiaries include Ohio Senator Jon Husted and Alaska Senator Dan Sullivan, all of whom sit on committees overseeing federal contracts relevant to Musk's companies. The spending, all for printed campaign materials, has drawn Democratic criticism, particularly in New Hampshire where over $90,000 was used against candidate Chris Pappas. America PAC expects to play a major role in Republican voter turnout efforts, with a funding target of up to $120 million.
