Musk's America PAC spends $800,000 on Senate races in Texas, Maine, and beyond

Elon Musk's America PAC has disclosed over $800,000 in spending across seven Senate races and eight House districts, marking its first major midterm investment, with nearly 90% directed toward Senate contests. The largest share, more than $247,000, supports Republican Ken Paxton in Texas against Democrat James Talarico, who has vastly outspent Paxton on advertising. Additional funds back Susan Collins in Maine, Jon Husted in Ohio, and candidates in New Hampshire, Iowa, Michigan, and Alaska, all categorized as printing expenses for mail ads. The disclosure follows Musk's meeting with House Speaker Mike Johnson, who declined to detail commitments. Musk previously spent over $239 million on 2024 races but had said he would spend "a lot less" before reportedly authorizing up to $120 million for this cycle.
