Munich's Oktoberfest adds lesbian party 'Bier, Boobs, Brezn' for queer women
A new event for queer women and FLINTA individuals, called "Bier, Boobs, Brezn," will debut at Munich's Oktoberfest on September 21, 2026, one day after the traditional Gay Sunday. Organizer Sina Scherer created the party to address the lack of visibility for lesbian women at the festival. The event will take place in the "Bräurosl" tent with around 700 expected guests. Scherer notes that established queer events are dominated by gay men, and lesbian women have lost their traditional meeting places in Munich. The "Lost Girls" organizer aims to create a self-made space for this community. The "Bräurosl" hosts, Franziska and Peter Reichert, confirmed the Gay Sunday has existed for over 40 years with 90 percent male guests. They are extending the tradition with a "Rosa Montag" (Pink Monday), which will now include this new women-focused gathering.
