Mumbai tiffin supplier arrested for sending pornographic content

A tiffin box supplier in Mumbai was arrested for sending pornographic content to a college student. The incident happened after the victim received unwanted images and videos on her WhatsApp. The 20-year-old student attends college in Churchgate and lives with two other students in a Chira Bazaar building. They used a tiffin service to have their meals delivered. The usual delivery person was unavailable, so she contacted a new worker to arrange the deliveries. On Wednesday night, after the student instructed the new delivery person where to leave the food, she received obscene messages around 11 PM. Shocked, she told her roommates and friends about it. The next day, she went to the LT Marg Police Station to file a complaint. Authorities registered a case on Saturday, charging the delivery man with sexual harassment. He faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act for sending pornographic material. The accused, who is married and has family in Rajasthan, has been taken into custody and will remain in judicial custody.
