Mudita launches compact e-reader and phone designed to reduce distractions

The Mudita Kompakt is a new compact phone and e-reader featuring a 4.3-inch E Ink screen. It runs a custom Android-based operating system designed to limit distractions, with only essential apps included. Available through a Kickstarter campaign, early backers can pre-order the device for about $325, with retail prices expected to reach $476. This pricing is lower than similar E Ink phones on the market. The Kompakt includes privacy features like a hardware switch to disable microphones and cellular functions. It offers a 3,300mAh battery, IP54 rating, and supports dual SIM and microSD expansion.
