Despite the availability of the Jynneos vaccine, only 22,795 doses have been administered this year, with less than 6,000 in New South Wales. Experts suggest that stigma and a lack of awareness may hinder vaccination efforts. Many men in outer metro areas are less likely to engage with healthcare providers, contributing to ongoing transmission of mpox.
