MP PC Mohan raises concerns over proposed Bengaluru tunnel road project

Bengaluru Central MP PC Mohan has expressed concerns about the proposed 18km tunnel road from Hebbal to Silk Board Junction. He argues that it will worsen existing problems rather than solve them. Mohan criticized the project's planning, noting that the detailed project report was completed in just three months. He highlighted the absence of necessary geotechnical investigations, which could compromise safety. The project's cost has also been a point of contention. Initially estimated at Rs 19,000 crore, it was later reduced to Rs 8,043 crore due to a lack of lender interest, raising doubts about its financial feasibility.
