The British Grand Prix will remain on the MotoGP World Championship calendar through 2028 after MotoGP extended its agreement with Silverstone for the 2027 and 2028 seasons. The race returned to Silverstone, which also hosts Formula One, in 2010 after a 24-year absence. This year’s British event takes place Sunday as round 12 of the 22-race MotoGP season. Silverstone chief executive Stuart Pringle said the renewal secures the circuit as a home of elite international racing. MotoGP Group CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta cited the UK's motorcycle heritage and 11 different winners in the last 11 British Grands Prix.
