Mother finds comfort meeting recipient of her daughter's donated hand

A mother found comfort meeting the recipient of her deceased daughter's hand, which was transplanted to a quadruple amputee. Jackie Kirwan met Kim Smith, who received her daughter Georgie Peterson's hand last autumn. Smith lost all four limbs to sepsis eight years ago. Peterson, who died last year at 33, had always wanted to be an organ donor. Limb donation is a rare procedure, separate from the organ donor register.
