Mother creates festive memories for daughter battling brain tumor
A mother, Holly Brown, is creating a festive Santa’s Grotto at home for her five-year-old daughter, Olivia, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June 2024. Initially thought to have heat stroke, Olivia's condition worsened, leading to her diagnosis of grade 3 medulloblastoma. After surgery to remove most of the tumor, Olivia's cancer spread to her spine. She has undergone proton beam therapy and is scheduled for further chemotherapy starting December 9. The family awaits an update on her condition from a scan on December 4. Holly is focused on making special memories for Olivia and her siblings during Christmas. She and her mother have launched a GoFundMe to help decorate their home and create a joyful atmosphere amid the challenges they face.
