Most Ukrainians consider the most likely war outcome a ceasefire along the current front line, followed by lengthy diplomacy to restore sovereignty, according to a SOCIS poll. The scenario was chosen by 34.8% of respondents. Another 21% expect the war to continue until political change inside Russia. Only 14.8% foresee full restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty within its 1991 internationally recognized borders. Additionally, 11.7% expect a peace treaty officially recognizing lost territories, and 9.4% expect a return to the pre-2022 frontline. SOCIS surveyed 1,204 adults via phone, excluding occupied areas and active combat zones.
