Moscow Airports Shut Second Night After Zelensky's Airspace Warning

Moscow's Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports suspended operations for a second consecutive night following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's warning about the danger of Russian airspace for civil aviation. Russia's aviation agency imposed temporary restrictions on flights and dismissed Ukraine's official notice to ICAO as legally invalid, accusing Ukrainian aviation authorities of supporting "terrorist rhetoric." Flightradar24 data showed 21 flights canceled and 235 delayed at Sheremetyevo, with 22 canceled and 94 delayed at Vnukovo. Zelensky warned airlines, insurers, and airports that Russian airspace is becoming "completely dangerous" as the war closes Russia's skies. In response, Putin ordered mass strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, while Turkish Airlines canceled flights to Russia and Aeroflot's shares fell.
