Morgan State University reaches record enrollment and becomes third-largest HBCU in the U.S

Morgan State University has reached a record enrollment of 10,739 students, making it the third-largest historically Black college or university in the U.S. This marks the fourth consecutive year of record enrollment. The university saw a 9.4% increase in total enrollment and welcomed 2,369 new students, a nearly 4% rise from last year. Graduate enrollment also hit a record high of 1,712 students, up 14%. Morgan State received 24,414 applications for the fall semester, with 96% from first-time freshmen. The incoming freshman class includes students from 41 states and seven countries, with an average GPA of 3.16.
