Montecatini event gives voice to survivors of violence, from femicide to cyber abuse

lanazione.it (Italian) —

The third edition of "A tu per tu con la violenza," a series of meetings addressing all forms of violence from femicide to online abuse, will begin on October 16 at the Terme del Tettuccio in Montecatini, running until late November. The initiative, part of the "Acqua in bocca ma non troppo" program, gives voice to survivors of physical, psychological, economic, and emotional abuse. Officials emphasized the need for cultural and educational change, with the mayor stressing that violence against women is a societal problem, not a women's issue. The opening day features two sessions: one on femicide's roots with legal experts, and another for teens and families on artificial intelligence, deep fakes, and cyber violence, led by state police cybersecurity officials.
