Mongolian PM cancels all conferences, forums and meetings

Prime Minister Nyam-Osoryn Uchral announced Thursday that Mongolia will implement austerity measures in response to global geopolitical uncertainty and international instability. The government will suspend certain expenditures and funding, cancel all conferences, forums, and meetings, and ban official overseas travel without approval. Essential meetings should be held online whenever possible. Saved funds will be redirected toward winter preparedness, energy and fuel supplies, and other citizen-support activities, according to the Prime Minister.
