Monaco expands territory by 3% with new €2 billion eco-district in the Mediterranean
Monaco has expanded its territory by 3% with the opening of Mareterra, a new €2 billion eco-district in the Mediterranean Sea. The project includes over 100 apartments, 10 villas, and a marina, designed by renowned architects. The development features public access to half of the new land, with amenities like shopping and cycle paths. Property prices are expected to be high, estimated at around €100,000 per square meter. Mareterra emphasizes sustainability, with 80% of its heating and cooling powered by renewable energy. The project also includes new habitats for marine life and 1,000 trees from Tuscany.
