Molnár: NKA funds used to bus Monor residents to peace march

Actor Áron Molnár accused former culture minister Balázs Hankó of funneling 100 million forints from the National Cultural Fund (NKA) to five organizations linked to Monor's Fidesz leadership, including one used to bus people to a "peace march." Molnár's Tuesday video named the groups, including a foundation led by Monor deputy mayor Andor Dessewffy, whose submitted invoices allegedly included a bus trip to Budapest marked "békemenet." Several organizations have since returned the disputed funds, and Molnár cited this as evidence of misuse for Fidesz events. The NKA scandal emerged in late April when Molnár revealed hidden grants awarded on political favoritism, with K-monitor noting funds were distributed in near-exact 100-million-forint increments per constituency. Hankó, whose former colleagues were detained, maintains the investigation is a politically motivated show trial.
