Moldovan authorities have determined that the drone that exploded near the village of Crocmaz was Russian, according to Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi. The incident is considered a serious threat to national security. The drone is a more advanced model than those previously found in Moldova, though the exact type will be confirmed later. Nosatîi stated that Russia continues to threaten Moldova's security, citing two recent airspace violations. Moldova's military radar coverage does not yet span the entire country, and its defense budget is the smallest in Europe. The army is purchasing air defense systems to detect and intercept hostile drones.
