Moldova has officially begun its withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The Moldovan government has initiated the denunciation of key CIS founding agreements, signaling its departure from the organization. This process is expected to conclude by mid-February. Moldova has previously denounced or is in the process of denouncing many of its approximately 283 CIS agreements, deeming most outdated. However, it will retain beneficial agreements aligned with its European integration goals.
