Modi says India is ready to welcome back citizens living illegally in the US
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India is prepared to accept its citizens who are living illegally in the United States. This follows the recent deportation of 104 Indians back to India. Modi supported U.S. President Donald Trump's efforts to address illegal immigration. He emphasized that those living in the U.S. without legal status do not have rights there. Modi also highlighted the need to combat human trafficking, which misleads families into illegal immigration. A second flight carrying more deported Indians is expected to arrive in Amritsar on February 15.
