Modi and Macron strengthen India-France ties with key agreements on defence and nuclear energy
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron have strengthened the India-France partnership by signing key agreements. They launched a roadmap for Artificial Intelligence and emphasized cooperation in defence, civil nuclear energy, and space. The leaders called for reforms in the United Nations Security Council and agreed to enhance trade and investment ties. Macron reiterated support for India's permanent membership in the UNSC. India and France will collaborate on advanced nuclear reactors and training for nuclear professionals. They welcomed the first meeting of a Special Task Force on Civil Nuclear Energy and discussed the Jaitapur Nuclear Power Plant Project.
