Modcast festival brings British Mod culture to Italy's Riviera

The Modcast festival, celebrating British Mod culture, begins Thursday in Cattolica and Gabicce, transforming the Italian Riviera into a Brighton-style hub. Around 300 English fans are expected for the four-day event. The festival features a notable lineup including the James Taylor Quartet, DJ David Holmes, actor Trevor Laird, and photographer Dean Chalkley. Events include concerts, DJ sets, a scooter run, exhibitions, and a boat party, running through Monday. Modcast, founded by Eddie Piller, debuted in Romagna last year to strong success. This second edition expands the program with an International Mod Expo and various cultural activities, cementing the region's connection to the enduring youth subculture.
