Mizoram is set to launch the Mizoram Universal Healthcare Scheme (MUHCS) on April 1. Health Minister Lalrinpuii announced that preparations are nearly complete for the cashless healthcare initiative. The scheme will upgrade government health facilities and ensure all intensive care units are operational. The state plans to hire 300 casual nurses and additional medical staff as needed. Efforts are underway to include reputable hospitals outside Mizoram and to implement a paperless system using improved technology.
