MIT Dome features illuminated eye projections for festival

From March 12-14, the MIT Dome will feature illuminated projections of large eyes as part of the "Gaze to the Stars" project. This installation invites visitors to share their stories with an AI guide in an immersive pod. Participants sit in a fog-filled pod, press their foreheads against a white orb, and engage with an AI voice that prompts them to reflect on their feelings and experiences. Their responses are transformed into images of their irises, which will be projected on the Dome. The project, created by Behnaz Farahi and her team, aims to explore human emotions and connections. It is part of MIT's Artfinity festival and seeks to highlight shared experiences and struggles among individuals.
