Ministry of Defence partners with sci-fi authors to prepare Britain for future crises

The UK Ministry of Defence is collaborating with science fiction authors to anticipate and prepare for future crises. The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) is using sci-fi storytelling to explore potential threats over the next century, from AI to environmental challenges. This initiative aims to provide a unique perspective beyond traditional data analysis. The project, resulting in the anthology "Creative Futures," seeks to help policymakers visualize future scenarios and understand the human impact of their decisions, ultimately aiming to improve humanity's future.
