Mike Portnoy performs with Dream Theater in Croatia after sister's death

Mike Portnoy performed with Dream Theater in Zagreb, Croatia, just 30 minutes after learning of his sister's death. The band dedicated their song "The Spirit Carries On" to her during the emotional concert on October 29. Portnoy, who rejoined the band after 14 years, shared on Facebook that his sister, Samantha Leone Cattaneo, had been battling cancer. He expressed his grief and noted that she was a devoted fan of the band. Dream Theater's current tour celebrates their 40th anniversary and will continue through November. They are set to release a new album, "Parasomnia," on February 7, marking Portnoy's first studio work with the band since 2009.
