Midea’s Smart Master Uses AI Voice Control to Run Your Home Without a Remote

Midea unveiled its Smart Master appliance series at IFA 2026, featuring AI agents that enable natural language voice control for home devices without needing a remote or phone. The system supports up to 140 languages, recognizes voices within an 8-metre range, and responds in 0.4 seconds. Voice commands can control key appliances, including triggering mmWave sensors, with additional access via in-car systems. Other AI agents offer personalized support, such as adjusting climate settings, recommending meals from refrigerator contents, managing energy use, and diagnosing issues with video guidance. Midea also showcased an air conditioner that tracks users via spatial imaging to direct cool air.
