The tool was launched this month after delays. In a separate development, the U.S. government indicted 14 North Koreans for posing as IT workers to steal $88 million and sensitive data from global companies. These individuals allegedly used stolen identities and paid U.S. residents to facilitate their schemes. Cleo, a file-sharing software company, warned customers to apply a new security patch after hackers exploited a vulnerability in its code, leading to breaches in at least two dozen organizations. The company had previously issued a patch in October, but it was bypassed by attackers.
