Microsoft rolls out Windows 11 2024 update with new AI features

Microsoft has begun rolling out the Windows 11 2024 update, featuring new AI capabilities under the Copilot+ brand. Key additions include "Click to Do," which allows users to get AI assistance for tasks on their screen, and enhanced image upscaling in the Photos app. The update also introduces generative AI tools in Paint and improved file search using natural language. However, the new Recall feature, designed to retrieve computer activity, faced security concerns and will now require user opt-in and biometric authentication. The rollout will start with Windows Insiders and expand to select devices in November. Other updates include Wi-Fi 7 support and battery life improvements, but the focus remains on AI features, which may require new hardware for full access.
