Microsoft launches Recall AI feature for Windows 11 Copilot Plus PCs

firstpost.com

Microsoft has launched the preview of its Recall AI feature for Windows 11 Copilot Plus PCs, after delays due to privacy concerns. This tool creates a searchable timeline of users' digital activities, allowing them to find past actions easily. Recall is optional and requires user consent. It encrypts data stored locally, ensuring Microsoft cannot access it. Sensitive information is excluded, and users can delete data or opt out at any time. Alongside Recall, Microsoft introduced Click to Do, which lets users interact with their snapshots to copy text and save images. Currently, Recall is available only on Qualcomm-powered devices, with plans to expand to Intel and AMD systems soon.
