Microsoft adds AI feature Rewrite to Notepad for Windows Insiders

Microsoft is introducing a new AI feature called Rewrite in Notepad, currently available to Windows Insiders. This tool allows users to highlight text and receive AI-generated rewrites, with options to adjust tone and length. Users can access Rewrite by right-clicking highlighted text or using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+I. A dialogue box will display suggested rewrites and adjustable features. The AI can be disabled in the app settings if preferred. Additionally, Microsoft Paint is receiving AI enhancements, including Generative Fill and Generative Erase. These features allow users to edit images by adding or removing elements using simple selection tools.
