Michelin Guide introduces wine distinction, The Michelin Grappe, starting with Burgundy and Bordeaux

The Michelin Guide is launching a new wine distinction called The Michelin Grappe, recognizing excellence in wine estates globally. The 2026 edition will initially focus on Burgundy and Bordeaux, awarding one, two, or three grapes based on five universal criteria assessed by dedicated wine inspectors. This expansion into wine follows Michelin's established recognition of restaurants with stars and hotels with keys, aiming to guide both amateurs and experts.
